I was extremely impressed with Dr. Chu’s responses and intelligence when he came before the Energy Committee last week. His deep understanding of renewable fuels and the Underground Lab in Lead was evident.
It is more crucial than ever that we have an Administration that shows a renewed focus on moving our nation towards renewable fuels, and I know Secretary Chu will help lead that effort. I am proud that the Senate has acted today to quickly confirm him as Energy Secretary.
